About Ernest Gonzales
Founder, STX Select Fastpitch

Hi, my name is Ernest Gonzales—but most people know me as Ernesto. I’ve been involved in the game for decades, first as a TASO baseball official for 13 years and a UIL softball official for 7 years. My journey into tournament organizing began in the fall of 2016, right here in my hometown of Pleasanton, Texas, where I started hosting non-sanctioned tournaments.

Fast forward nearly a decade, and I’m still doing what I love—watching young athletes give their all on the red dirt from sunup to sundown. Over the years, I’ve worked with several sanctioning bodies, giving me the opportunity to grow and host tournaments throughout Central Texas, South Texas, and the Coastal Bend.

Now, I’m planting new roots with STX Select Fastpitch, powered by Triple Crown Fastpitch, to bring a fresh approach to youth and showcase tournaments—not just in Texas, but across the country. I know you can’t please everyone in this business, but I promise to always give it my best.

I have a deep passion for the game and the players. It means everything to me to create an environment where boys and girls can compete, grow, and chase their dreams of playing at the next level.

Thank you for choosing to spend your weekend on the diamond with us—whether it’s red dirt or turf. Have fun, stay safe, and feel free to call me anytime to talk sports.

Thanks for playing STX Select Fastpitch, powered by Triple Crown Fastpitch.

See you on the field!
